WARNING: There are spoilers ahead for the 3rd episode of series 7 of Game of Thrones!
The wait is finally over, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen have finally met, they are now officially on each others radar the problem is that they might not like what they see in each other. The mother of Dragons and the King of the North finally met at the beginning of “The Queen’s Justice” the third episode of series 7, it was easily amongst one of the shows most anticipated moments of all time, as the two characters stand out as the most favourable characters in the series.
In their meeting both Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen trade barbs back and forth, their eyes firmly fixed on very different enemies, with Jon Snow more worried about the White Walkers and Daenerys focusing on Cersei and the 7 kingdoms. The mother of Dragons doesn’t believe him about the White Walkers at least not at first, and it is difficult for them to negotiate with each other.
“He’s refused to me a queen, he’s refused to bow and now he’s calling me a child” came the clever and stern quip from Daenerys as Jon Snow continued to refuse to bend the knee
“i was born to rule the seven kingdoms and i will” Daenerys insisted as she swept aside the grave warnings of White Walkers.
“I spent my life in foreign lands,”
“So many men have tried to kill me, I don’t remember all their names. I have been sold like a brood mare, I’ve been chained and betrayed, raped and defiled, do you know what kept me standing though all those years in exile? Faith…in myself.”
Some of the best written lines are in the scene’s between Daenerys and Jon Snow, with the above being one of the best from the Mother of Dragons.
The meeting between Jon Snow and the Mother of Dragons did not go as easily as many may of been anticipating (Well this is Game of Thrones after all) But that doesn’t mean that the pair won’t find a common cause, in fact it was near the end of the episode that Daenerys told Jon Snow that he can mine Casterly Rock for the Drago Glass that he needs in order to build the weapons to fight the White Walkers, she even tells Snow that any resources that he needs he can have, while it might not seem like much it does seem as tho the two can indeed find some common ground in which to work on.
Will the two be able to form an alliance and stop not only Cersei but also the White Walkers leaving one of them to sit on the Iron Throne?
